Welcome to the Iambic Media FAQ page! Below, you’ll find answers to some basic questions about our services. If you have anything else to ask, please get in touch. Until then, read on:
What services do you offer?
We make videos, both live and animated. We also offer video editing services if you have footage that needs to be turned into a final product, as well as color grading and finishing if you have a video that just needs some final polishing.
What kinds of videos do you make?
We make explainer videos, promotional videos, Kickstarter, Indiegogo and other crowdfunding videos, profile videos, interview videos, product videos, music videos and really any other type of video you can think up. We work with 2D animation, 2.5D animation
and 3D animation in Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D, depending on the needs of each specific project.
How does the process start?
We start by talking about your ideas, either in person or on the phone. In this stage, you share your whole concept or goal or vision or inspiration with us, and we’ll share how we think we can wrap all of that into a video. There’s no charge for this conversation,
so afterwards you’ll be able to decide when and how you would like to move forward.
How long does everything take?
Each video has its own timeframe, depending on its complexity. When we discuss your concept, we’ll be able to give you a pretty good idea of how long production will take.
Do I get to see the video before it’s done?
Every time we complete a draft of your video, we upload it to a private page on Vimeo.com and send you the link. From there, you can watch it as many times as you want and send us your thoughts. Then we work on your notes and upload the next draft for you
How do I get my video?
The moment we receive final payment for your project, we send you a link to your online video, which includes an option to download the full file to your computer. That means your video is immediately ready to play online, share via email or social media,
embed on a website, download to a mobile device or burn to DVD or BluRay. We can also accommodate specific formatting requests—just ask!
How do you host videos online?
We host videos through Vimeo Pro, which affords many great options for sharing, protecting and/or customizing your video. Your video can do anything, from going viral to staying password-protected, from being watched at home to being sent out all over
How much will my video cost?
Because each video is highly personalized, it’s very hard to determine cost before we’ve heard a little bit about your concept. If you can give us some details about the project you have in mind, we can give you a sense of how much it will cost. Alternatively,
you can let us know how much you are able to spend on your video, and we can let you know what we can accomplish for you on that budget.
Once we’ve had a chance to talk in detail, we’ll either give you an estimate of cost, or a fixed-price quote, depending on the nature of your project.
Is there a charge to talk about a project?
No, the first conversation is just to talk about ideas. After the first meeting, we can continue to discuss your project with no expectation of payment until you’re ready to commit.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and check, as well as Paypal for an additional 3%.
When is payment due?
We ask for 50% of the delivered quote or estimate up front, before any production work begins. Then we ask for the remaining amount after we have agreed on a final cut of your project.
What kinds of discounts do you offer?
We offer discounts on a case-by-case basis, depending on need, our personal interest in your project, and flexible scheduling. The easiest way to work with us at a discounted rate is to allow us to schedule you for a slow period of time, and to allow for
the project to take a little longer than normal. If you’re willing to be flexible and a little patient, you can get a video done for a very affordable rate.
What area do you serve?
We provide services to all of New England.
Where are you located?
We are located in Yarmouth, Maine and we work with clients in all New England States.
Do you do weddings?
